We’re happy to help you get familiar with JournalGroove!

Let’s look at your new journaling space.

Journaling Prompts

At the top of your page, you’ll see journaling prompts, which update every time you create a new journal entry. The prompt on the left is intended to be more introspective, whereas the one on the right is more solutions-focused. If you want to use one of the prompts, you can click the “Start Writing” button to start a new journal entry. You’ll have to copy the journal prompt into the title or body of the new entry. We wish it would auto-populate, but alas.

Journaling prompts re-generate after each new journal entry. If you want to find old journaling prompts you can find them in the reports archive, under “INTROSPECTIVE PROMPT” and “FORWARD PROMPT”.

Reports

Next you’ll see reports. At first, they are locked. After you write your first journal entry, the first report, “REFLECTION”, will unlock. Our AI will offer a reflection about the emotions evoked by your writing.

Write your first journal entry to unlock your first report and two new journaling prompts. You can pick a journaling prompt, or write whatever you like. Just follow your thoughts.

There’s no wrong way to journal.

Journal

Journal is your private writing space. Journal entries you write here will be processed by JournalGroove’s automated service, using a private AI provider, for the sole purpose of generating personalized journaling prompts and reports for you. They are never read by humans and are stored safely in your Notion workspace.

To create a new journal entry, press the “START WRITING” button below a journaling prompt, or the “New page” link under the JOURNAL header.
